Training camp for the Canadiens kicked off this morning at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard, but one forward of note was not in attendance.

Forward Michael Bournival was absent from the first day of practice as he continues to battle post-concussion symptoms. Bournival suffered a concussion in the middle of last season, and the fact that he’s been unable to make a full recovery through the summer up to this point is a troubling sign.

Bournival hasn’t suited up in a game since February 28, and at this point the concern is very real that the 23-year-old centreman may be dealing with a very serious situation in regards to his hockey career.
